Successful use of Mediana HeartOn AED, 28th February 2017
At our medical practice, recently a man in his mid 60’s stopped breathing as he was sitting in the waiting room. The nurse was in the waiting room at the time and commenced CPR immediately.
The ambulance was called and the AED Hearton defib was attached to patient promptly. After one shock, the patient regained consciousness and started breathing on his own.
The ambulance arrived and took over care of the patient who was then taken to hospital and not long after flown to Adelaide for an Angiogram. He is currently alert and stable. It was a successful CPR due to the prompt first aid care provided and the early use of defibrillation.

Firstly i would like to thank you so much for coming out to our playgroup yesterday to facilitate first aid training for our families. The families and staff learnt heaps and the way in which you presented the information was easy to follow, appropriate and interactive.
We will definitely book you to come back perhaps later in the year!

Just wanted to say many thanks to Michael who conducted our first aid training with the Ford/TTi instructors last week.
He was very informative, seems he has had some experience with this training according to his history which helped make the course even more enjoyable. His stories of actual event backs up the theory and his attention to detail helped me and I am sure the others as well.
So overall a great experience and we all learned much from Michael so please pass on my personal thanks for his help during the course for all of us much appreciated.
See him in a few years, many thanks.
AP Technical Training Manager,
Hi there Shelly,
I hope you beat the storm home today, thank you for the training today, the best first aid training I have ever been had and believe me working in education for almost 20 years there have been a few.

I just wanted to let you both know that I am so happy that we made the discussion to become partners with APL, from day one you have all been AWESOME!!
And this is why….
• I so appreciate being able to pick up the phone and know I am always going to be greeted in a friendly manner and always be told that nothing is too much trouble. (god love the girls in the office you are Super stars)
• Every trainer we have had come from APL has been Prompt, friendly, Engaging, and most of all knowledgeable.
• After every APL training class I ALWAYS get the same feedback from my staff ”That was the best first aid/CPR class I’ve done”
I know that you may think that the above should be standard practice everywhere however that is not the case.
Well done guys you are by far a cut above the rest and I for one appreciate every one of you.
My daughter Emily and I both did the first aid course today in Brisbane. Just wanted to say what an enjoyable day and the lady teaching us was excellent.
Dear Tiffany & Jolanta,
Thanks so much for the Skype on Tuesday Tiffany. I learnt some very helpful teaching tips!
I didn’t realise how quickly I would use my first aid, my daughter broke her arm yesterday and my first aid kit came in rather handy. Accident and emergency were rather impressed with the magazine splint (we were beside the letterbox when she fell and it was full of catalogues) and bandaging ? BUT I will be buying the QR first aid kit for personal use and display because it highlighted to me how important easy access is when you are one handed (I was holding the splint as my daughter couldn’t help she went into shock and wanted to vomit) please pass on how good an idea this kit is! I guess I have an even more personal story what is like to be the mother not from a nurse perspective.
Anyway I just thought I’d drop you a line and say I’m so glad to be partnered with you, as I realised that it has amazing potential to really impact lives. My daughters injury was not serious but if it were I know I could handle it and I want all my participants to walk away with that confidence!
I have recently applied to become a partner [with Australian First Aid] and now am up to the induction stage. I wanted to write to you and just tell you how wonderful it has been dealing with Jolanta. She is a credit to your team and it was due to her friendly and helpful response to my call that led me to apply to Australian First Aid. I really do mean it when I say that I look forward to the future working with you all especially if others are as efficient, helpful and encouraging as Jolanta. I do hope that you have a way of recognising her great customer service as she helps make you more attractive than other competitors, please pass on my thanks.
The online component was very user friendly and easy to use. The information was relevant and interesting.
On the day of the course , our presenter was really approachable and knowledgeable as she is a paramedic. She was able to share real life cases with us which was a great way to learn.
